The Serendipity Behind BoraHearts: How BTS Brought Us Together

(You might remember us as Ddaengg, same ARMY hearts, just a new purple name!)

We're Bibi and An, the dynamic duo behind this little corner of the internet. Our story? Well, it's a tale of serendipity and shared passions that led us to where we are today.It all began with BTS - off course. Picture this: Bibi and An, each discovering BTS in our own unique way. Bibi fell in love with their music in 2019, thanks to her sister. An, meanwhile, fell down the BTS rabbit hole during the pandemic, inspired by her sister-in-law’s K-drama binges. Although we’re from different moms (plot twist, we know!), BTS united us in ways we never imagined.

The magic started at a birthday party where soju flowed.  I -An- met D, struck up a conversation with him and South Korea became the hot topic. That's when I heard about D's mom, who is a massive BTS fan, just like me and the ARMY universe worked its charm. One Twitter DM led to a full-blown friendship, bonding over BTS, Korea and more. As we got to know each other, we realized we shared more than just a love for BTS. Creativity, style, and a knack for self-expression were at the heart of who we are. Even our families are uncannily alike: three children with “D” names and Calico cats included!

Fast forward, our passion became a shop: first as Ddaengg, now as Borahearts. Why the change? We wanted a name every ARMY could instantly connect with — whether you’ve been chanting since debut days or just joined the purple family yesterday.

Borahearts is still your go-to for unique BTS-inspired merch, tour-ready fits, and custom designs. And now, we’re adding something new: ARMY events! Our first, the Hamsterdam Canal Cruise, was pure purple magic — laughter, connections, and memories to last a lifetime. And this is only the beginning.

From Ddaengg to Borahearts, the heart of our story hasn’t changed. It’s still about BTS, ARMY, and the serendipity that brought us together. 💜 Welcome to the next chapter of our purple journey.
